Ny §27 – sjukt viktigt, kom igen STHLM – upp på barrikaderna!

Tjenare STHLM,

vi tycker verkligen att §27 i resolutionen "Youth in the Global Economy", utifrån de ändringar som är föreslagna i draft 3, borde justeras enligt nedan.

Vi föreslår detta utifrån 1) faktum att all text i resolutionen om indikatorerna verkar försvinna, 2) att det uppenbarligen inte finns några föreslagna "goals and targets" ännu, samt 3) att USA sa följande i ett tal: "In the report on the "Follow-Up to the World Program of Action for Youth," for example, we note a lack of clarity as to what the proposed indicators related to youth would measure. We urge the UN and governments to think carefully about what appropriate programs and indicators would be, both in terms of social development and the technical issues involved in data collection, in this area and others, and take the steps necessary to ensure that we here, collectively, are helping put our countries on the right path to a future in which all of our citizens live free, productive and satisfying lives."

27. Requests the Secretary-General to provide the General Assembly at its sixty-fourth session, through the Commission for Social Development at its forty-seventh session, with a comprehensive report on the implementation of the World Programme of Action, including proposed clear goals and targets on the clusters named "Youth in the Global Economy" and "Youth and their Well-being." (NEW)

Så, kom igen nu - detta borde verkligen Sverige kunna stå bakom och trycka på för.
